Subminimal is a Singapore design studio, started in 2020 by Dominic Symons, built around one good idea: that you should not need a steam wand or a two thousand euro machine to get proper microfoam. They have been refining that idea ever since, and the engineering is the interesting part.
Subminimal names the stainless grades they use, publish real specifications, and sell spare parts for nearly everything, because their stated position is that components should be serviceable rather than disposable. We hold them to that and it has held up so far. They design in Singapore and manufacture through partners, as almost everyone at this size does.
